Well, after several batches of photos on the JC Band Feste, I finally found some that has my face in it!

Even then it's in passing. Grr.

Anyway there were some recordings of us in action, well, I'll say if you've missed the concert, too bad. Listening to these recordings sound a bit... flat.

I blame the camera.

Oh, and Merry Christmas.

It's moments like these where I'm just inspired to write, and just write. The constant motion of my fingers producing nothing but lines of text with the sounds of music (techno right now) in the background just feels good. At least it's something happening.

Well, I've promised a Band update, and just yesterday was the last day of the JC Band Festival, so I feel this is a good spot to start again.

Of course I've missed a huge update which was the J1 Batch Chalet, but I guess it hardly matters now anyway.

So, the JC Band Feste 2006.

Yeah, this was a small little annual event where the bands of the JCs of Singapore come together to form up different other bands, and practice during concerts and sectionals, to finally put up a concert at the end of the festival. I was in Saint Saens, and yes, I was the only RJC Euphonium. Darn you Alvin. (heh) I would just like to say that my section was nice. (Yes I understand some of my batch mates are getting tired of hearing me say that, especially since they have less than amicable sections...) Many thanks to Shannon and Xin Yuan for making the JC Band Feste memorable. My only regret is that I didn't get any pictures, all I have a small piece of card from Xin Yuan...

Yeah and I loved the music that we played, especially St Florian's, the melody was great and sounded perfect for a Euphonium piece. Copacabana was fun, just that we didn't really get much melodies. I don't mind, if we had we'll have to stand up. March Suite Espanol was great too, Folk Dances was not as great (but has lots of potential if I had practiced it more).

It's funny though, the purpose of the Band Feste is for the players of the different JC's' bands to come together and to get to know each other, but for only a short period of 3 days... After this, can we remember the time spent together? Can we keep in touch, to keep in contact with each other? Only time will tell.

Till then, I can't help but feel it was a pity. I want that contact list.
